My dad & step mom came up to visit us for this long weekend, from near Pittsburgh, Pa. I LOVE when they visit.
Friday we were bums, mom & step mom went to the casino for a bit (yes we're crazy), while my dad entertained my boys with baseball, biking, etc. and I got some running around done that I needed to. Friday night was a dinner at Gus' diner, and ice cream at Harrigans.
Saturday we all went to my kids' dads house to bbq and play in the water. He lives on the lake, has a boat and now a jet ski, so fun was surely going to be had.
I went 'tubing' for the 1st time in my life, spent hours on the lake with friends, and then got comfortable on the jet ski. what fun! not too bad of a sun burn, and i was exhausted when we left after about 10 hrs of fun.
Sunday morning rolls around and I woke up feeling like I had been run over by a truck, and not only me - my 9 year old as well. He was a tubing fool himself, and we both paid the price of being dragged on a tube on the choppy choppy lake.
We spent sunday being lazy bums in the a/c, watching movies (Men of Honor), and napping. We did venture out around 8 pm to see some fireworks and back to bed when we got home. At least it wasn't just me because i'm getting old! :P
Now it's monday and we're going back to the boys' dads house to get some sun and play on the water trampoline (them, not me).
What a great 4 day weekend it has been!
