I'm terrible with Christmas gifts...
I buy them and I wanna give them immediately. I can't wait for the person to open it. It's a hard thing for me!
I went to NYC with Mark and we went to a favorite Irish pub of his called "Pig 'N' Whistle" and he wanted a t shirt. We never got back there to get one before leaving NYC and when I got home, knowing Mark would love it - I went to their website to order him one. You can't order anything off of their website so I took a chance and emailed 'someone' there and explained that I lived 6 hours away and would love a t shirt and asked if I could purchase some. He said 'of course' and asked what size I wanted. I told him a L and an XL ... and he then asked for my address...I gave it to him. I waited for him to let me know how much I owed him...and the t shirts arrived on Black Friday. I was in awe. I emailed him and told him how appreciative I was of his kindness. What a great thing to do!
This weekend Mark is taking me to the Jets vs Buffalo game in NJ and he mentioned more than once that we'd go to the Pig 'n' Whistle...and I knew that if we went there he'd want a t shirt. So last night I asked him to open a gift. He said no as he always has (because i've asked him 100x already) and I insisted. He opened his green t shirt and was very happy ... and then I told him the story behind it. Mark and I both work in Customer Service and both appreciate when someone does something nice or unexpected - but we also both know that its good advertising for the bar.
Either way. Made me happy because it made Mark happy ... all good!
