THE talk.

So driving to see their dad once, after he had had surgery a couple years ago, Bryce just blurts out "If you hadn't had surgery to get us out of your belly, how would we have gotten out?" and I gripped the steering wheel very tightly and took a deep breath and just said "you know boys have penis' and girls have vaginas. Babies normally come out of the girls private parts." Bryce made a pretty scrunched up discusted face and that was it. Thankfully.

Tonight Trent is getting out of the tub and he is telling me that he can 'hook' his private parts. I see him sticking his finger behind his scrotum and moving it and I'm like 'Don't do that! I want granddaughters!' and Bryce flies in and is like 'what is he doing?' and I said "you don't do that to your private parts, you will hurt them." so after we get through the 'it doesn't hurt, look!' Bryce says "what do the scrotum do?" and I took a deep breath and thought 'don't chicken out, don't chicken out' (because honestly I have dodged this many times in the past month alone) so I just said it "the boys scrotum have the testicles in them. The testicles make sperm. Sperm makes babies." next question "how does the the sperm make a baby?" so .... off we go to "the sperm fertilizes the egg, which the girl has in her body" - "so when they are kissing this happens?" and then I'm forced to just be honest. Too far to go back now. So I told him how it happens.

And he was watching a movie and stopped, looked at me and said "wait! what? what did you just say?!" and that was it. I think he's processing. And I'm pretty sure that there will be more questions, or no mention of this for a long time. LMAO
