everything happens for a reason ...

So we've had the same daycare for a couple years...literally 2 doors down from my house. My kids have LOVED it there. Perfect.

Last week my ex calls and tells me that we got a 2 week notice on the daycare. We have to find a new one. In January. In 2 weeks.

To be honest - I have no idea why the daycare is closing, or why we have to find a new one. Or why after I've been paying the same person who owns the business for 2 years, she couldn't show us any respect and tell my ex or I herself, but gave her employees a letter for us to read. And I haven't read it.

When I signed up with this daycare, I sat down with the owner and signed a bunch of 'official' stuff as her name is on the daycare. Seems fitting that I receive the same courtesy when I'm being told that our contract has to end. But apparently not.

First - 2 weeks is not exactly a long enough period to find someone that you TRUST with your kids. It's a long enough period of time to find someone because you are basically screwed and need a short term fix until you find a solution.

So. I talked to the ex and within about 2 minutes I had found a solution. Come to find out that this was a perfect opportunity for a new chapter in our daycare story -and perfect timing for the provider as well. As crazy as it is.

Everything does indeed happen for a reason.
